Learned advocate representing the alleged contemnor submits that by order dated 1st May, 2024, a Co-ordinate Bench of this Court in C.O. 1583 of 2024 (Gitarani Roy -Vs- The Municipal Commissioner, Kolkata Municipal Corporation & Ors.) has been pleased to direct stay of demolition proceeding till September 30, 2024 or until further order whichever is earlier.

The Civil Revision application has been made returnable in the combined monthly list of July 2024. In view of such submission, there is no requirement of proceeding with the contempt application any further. The same stands disposed of. It will be open for the parties to approach the Court in the event there is fresh cause of action for doing so.

Report filed by the Officer-in-Charge, Manicktala Police station be retained with the records.

Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties expeditiously on compliance of usual legal formalities.
