We have considered the materials on record.

Petitioner is the driver of the vehicle which was used to transport narcotics above commercial quantity. Bail prayer of the petitioner and another was rejected in May, 2022. Trial is in progress. .

Under such circumstances and in view of statutory restrictions under Section 37 of the NDPS Act, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.

Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected.

We request the trial court to conduct the trial with utmost expedition by fixing schedules at regular interval and conclude the same within one year from next date fixed for recording evidence without granting unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties.

State shall communicate this order to the trial court for due compliance.
