It is the case of the petitioner that he is one of the co-occupiers of the premises in question.

Respondent nos. 6 to 9, without any sanctioned plan, has raised a four storied building at the said premises.

The Corporation submits that a stop work notice was issued under section 141 of the Kolkata Municipal Corporation Act, regarding the unathorised construction and as per the order of the Mayor-in-Council dated August 28, 2023, the Corporation had executed a demolition programme on January 10, 2024, whereby a portion of roof slab was demolished.

In view of the aforesaid, I dispose of this writ petition directing the Corporation to take follow up action in

accordance with law with regard to the premises in question.

WPA 16469 of 2023 is disposed of.
