The petitioners have prayed for quashing of the proceeding being G.R. Case No.3928 of 2022 arising out of Ghola Police Station Case No.282 of 2022 under Sections 323/325/506/420/447/120B/34 of the Indian Penal Code presently pending before the learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Barrackpore. During the pendency of the instant revision the parties have filed a joint application compromising the dispute amongst them. Accordingly, the Officer-in-charge of the concerned Police Station was directed to record a statement of the de facto complainant as to whether a voluntary settlement of the dispute has been effected or not. The Investigating Officer has submitted a report about the recorded statement of the petitioners. It appears from the said statement that the petitioners do not want to drag the criminal proceeding because amicable settlement has been arrived at between them and the private opposite party.

In view of such settlement, further proceeding in connection with G.R. Case No.3928 of 2022 arising out of Ghola Police Station Case No.282 of 2022 be quashed.

The instant revision and the connected application are, thus, disposed of.
