Siddiqui, Advocate Mr. Supratim Dhar, Advocate ......for the State It appears from the order dated 21.04.2022 passed by the West Bengal Land Reforms and Tenancy Tribunal in OA 1450 of 2021 that the innocuous reliefs claimed in the said tribunal application has not been attended to and is adjourned solely on the prayer of the State Government and the next date is fixed nearly after a year. The matter which could have been disposed of inviting the attention of the both the Counsel, as the grievance raised in the tribunal application pertains to inaction on the part of the competent authority in not considering and disposing of the application, has not been disposed of yet.

The order would further reveal that the learned Advocate representing the State submits that the matter is pending before the Block Land and Land Reforms Officer at the enquiry stage which would logically mean that the said representation/application filed by the applicant has not been disposed of. There is no necessity for keeping the said application pending and it is sordid state of affairs that the next date is fixed after a gap of one year.

We could have conveniently disposed of the instant writ-petition with the specific direction but we intend to percolate a sense of responsibility into the Tribunal to

address the issues promptly and not allow the heap of accumulation of the cases resulting into a docket explosion.

We, therefore, direct the Tribunal to prepone the date already fixed in presence of the respective Counsel which shall not exceed fifteen days from the date of production of this order and shall thereafter, dispose of the said proceeding within fifteen days therefrom. The Tribunal is directed to act on the server copy of the order downloaded from the official website of this Court without insisting for the certified copy thereof. With these observations, WPLRT 100 of 2022 is disposed of.
