The petitioner has since cleared the outstanding amount by making payment to the West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (WBSEDCL).

Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the electricity connection ought to be restored.

Learned counsel appearing for WBSEDCL submits that the payment was made without including the applicable late payment surcharge. He further submits that the petitioner now seeks an electricity connection for a different location. The earlier connection was at Dohali Dangapara Mouza, whereas the petitioner presently seeks

connection at Jogpur Mouza, which is located approximately 950 metres away from the original site. In view of the above, liberty is granted to the petitioner to submit a fresh application for an electricity connection at the new location.

If such application is submitted within a period of seven days from the date of this order, the same shall be considered by WBSEDCL in accordance with law.

Accordingly, WPA 16335 of 2025 is disposed of.
