The petitioner assails an order dated June 24, 2024 passed by the respondent no. 2 whereby no effective hearing has been held despite the petitioner having travelled from Orissa and the matter has been mechanically adjourned till September 23, 2024.

The primary grievance of the petitioner is directed against inaction of the respondent authorities in hearing Case No. G-49 of 2021 (Narayan Das Vs.The Calcutta Jute Manufacturing Co. Ltd.).

It is submitted on behalf of the petitioner that in view of the dilatory tactics being adopted by the

private respondent the proceedings before the Learned Controlling Authority are being unnecessarily prolonged.

The State-respondents are represented and do not oppose the prayer for expeditious disposal of the above proceeding.

In view of the above, WPA 17459 of 2024 is disposed of by requesting the respondent no. 2 to dispose of the above proceeding being Case No. G49 of 2021 (Narayan Das Vs.The Calcutta Jute Manufacturing Co.

Ltd.)and all connected proceedings preferably within a period of six months from the date of communication of this order without granting any unnecessary adjournments to either of the parties.

Liberty is also granted to the petitioner to file an appropriate application seeking an early date of hearing.
