2000 bottles of phensedyl syrup containing codeine phosphate was allegedly seized from the joint possession of the petitioners.

In view of the restrictions in Section 37 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985, we are not inclined to entertain the prayer of the petitioners for bail, at this stage.

The application being CRM (NDPS) 1095 of 2024 is accordingly dismissed.

We are told that charge has been framed. There are 15 witnesses named in the charge-sheet. The petitioners are in custody for about 10 months.

We request the learned Trial Court to expedite the trial to the fullest extent possible and conclude the same at an early date.

This order is to be communicated to the learned Trial Court by both the parties.
