The petitioner complains of alleged inaction on the part of Chakdaha Police Station.

The report of the Inspector-in-charge, Chakdaha Police Station dated 5th February, 2023 in the form of instructions to the Government Pleader, High Court, Calcutta reveals that the FIR No. 667 of 2021 dated 21.11.2021 was registered in the matter. It is further revealed in the said report that investigation was conducted and charge-sheet No. 837 of 2021 dated 25.12.2021 under Sections 447/323/354/506/34 of the Indian Penal Code was filed against three persons, namely, Sushil Pal, Sudeb Pal and Sukumar Mondal. In the above circumstances, this Court sees no inaction on the part of Chakdaha Police Station. If the petitioner feels threatened in any way, she may apply before the Superintendent of Police, Ranaghat Police District, Nadia for appropriate protection.

With the aforesaid directions, the instant writ petition shall stand disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.
