Heard learned Advocates appearing for the parties. Petitioners have filed this writ petition being aggrieved by the inaction on the part of the respondents/WBGST Authority concerned in releasing the goods/documents in question seized from the premises of a third party in course of search and seizure. It appears from record that the petitioners have made representations before the respondent authority concerned on 11th April, 2023 and 4th July, 2023 as appears from pages 26 and 28 of the writ petition making prayer for release of the goods/documents in question by making out a case therein.

Without going into the merits of the issues raised in this writ petition, I am inclined to dispose of this writ petition by granting this limited relief of directing the respondent authority concerned to consider and dispose of the aforesaid representations dated 11th

April, 2023 and 4th July, 2023 in accordance with law and by passing a reasoned and speaking order after giving an opportunity of hearing to the petitioners or its authorised representative, within a period of two weeks from the date of communication of this order irrespective of the communication issued by the respondent authority concerned dated 25th July, 2023, which has been brought to the notice of this court by Mr. Siddiqui, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

With this observation and direction this writ petition being WPA 16581 of 2023 is disposed of. ( Md. Nizamuddin, J. )
