The contempt application is heard in presence of the learned advocates representing the applicant and alleged contemnor.

The learned advocate representing the applicants alleges violation of the order dated 16th August, 2023 passed by a coordinate Bench on the connected writ petition whereby the Court requested the Armed Forces Tribunal to consider the applicant's original application and to dispose of the same by December 1, 2023.

It has been submitted on behalf of the applicant that in spite of such direction given by this Court the original application till date has not been disposed of. Registrar-in-Charge, Armed

Forces Tribunal, Regional Bench, Kolkata has been arrayed as alleged contemnor.

Mr.

Chakraborty, learned Additional Solicitor General submits that the original application has already been heard on two dates and the next date is fixed for consideration on 8th April, 2024.

In view of the aforesaid submission made on behalf of the parties the alleged contemnor is directed to file an affidavit disclosing the steps taken to comply with the order dated 16th August, 2023.

Let such affidavit be filed by three weeks from date with a copy upon the learned advocate representing the applicant.

Applicant shall be at liberty to file reply to the said affidavit within two weeks thereafter. List the contempt application under the heading "Contested Contempt Matter" on 26th April, 2024.

However, this order shall not preclude the alleged contemnor to comply with the order dated 16th August, 2023.

It is further recorded that if the date is fixed for consideration of the original application on 8th April, 2024 the Tribunal shall be free to dispose of
