Ms. Mousumi Bhowal, learned advocate appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that the application for restoration is filed within the stipulated time. She seeks for restoration of the writ petition.

Learned advocates appearing for the Staterespondents, as well as Union of India leaves the matter to the discretion of the Court.

It is found that writ petition was dismissed for default on 3rd January, 2020 and the application for restoration has been filed on 4th February, 2020. Thus, the application for restoration is filed within time.

Accordingly, the order of dismissal dated 3rd January, 2020 is hereby recalled.

The writ petition is restored to its original file and number.

The application being CAN 1143 of 2020 is allowed and disposed of.

WPA 15889 of 2018 Mr. Soumitra Bandyopadhyay, learned advocate appearing on behalf of the Staterespondents seeks extension of time to file affidavitin-opposition. Let such affidavit-in-opposition be filed by the State-respondents within a period of two weeks from date. Reply thereto, if any, be filed within one week thereafter.
