The petitioner seeks interest on account of delayed payment of his revised gratuity as per ROPA 2009.

ROPA 2009 was given effect to long back. The petitioner has approached this Court in the year 2024 seeking interest for the delayed payment. At such a delayed point of time the benefit sought for by the petitioner cannot be allowed. The Court is not inclined to condone the inordinate unexplained delay in approaching the Court.

The writ petition fails and is hereby dismissed. Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties expeditiously on compliance of usual legal formalities.
