The petitioner says that he is in custody for eleven months in connection with this case. Charge was framed on June 28, 2024. No progress has been made after that. 9000 bottles of phensedyl syrup was allegedly seized from the vehicle of the petitioner and 1200 bottles from his residence.

We see that the petitioner's prayer for bail was rejected earlier by a Coordinate Bench on January 9, 2024. In that order, it is recorded that the petitioner has criminal antecedent and he runs illegal drug business through his family members. Memo of Evidence filed on behalf of the State, be kept with the records.

In view of the aforesaid, we are not inclined to allow the petitioner's prayer for bail.

The prayer for bail is, accordingly, rejected. CRM (NDPS) 1102 of 2024 is dismissed.

However, since the petitioner has been in custody for quite some time in connection with this case, we direct the learned Trial Court to expedite the trial to the fullest extent possible and conclude the same as soon as possible. The parties shall communicate this order to the learned Trial Court.
