Learned counsel for the applicant submits that the payment has already been made as per the direction of this Court. The applicant submits that the interest part has not been paid.

The original order of the Court directing payment of gratuity did not disclose the issue of interest as the same was not before the Court at the relevant point of time. Thus, this point has not been gone into either in the writ petition or in the contempt application.

The applicant is at liberty to proceed with regard to the said claim for interest, strictly in accordance with law. Under such circumstances, the contempt application is disposed of. The contempt proceedings are dropped.
