The affidavit-of-service as filed by the learned Advocate for the petitioners is taken on record. 2.

The writ petitioners are aggrieved on account of long pendency of D/Case No. 12-D/Bldg/Br-II/20-21 pending before Special Officer (Building), Kolkata Municipal Corporation.

Learned Advocate on behalf of the K.M.C. submits before this Court that unauthorized construction has been noticed at premises No. 41, Karbala Tank Lane, Kolkata - 700006 under Borough No. 2 of Kolkata Municipal Corporation.

Such being the position, this Court while disposing the instant writ petition directs the Special Officer (Building), K.M.C. to complete the D/Case No. 12D/Bldg/Br-II/20-21 pending before Special Officer (Building), Kolkata Municipal Corporation positively by the last day of February, 2025 after giving due opportunity both to the writ petitioners as well as to the

person/persons responsible in respect of the alleged illegal construction.

The Special Officer (Building) shall thereafter communicate this said final order both to the writ petitioners and to the person/persons responsible thereafter forthwith.

With the aforementioned observations, the instant writ petition being WPA 17557 of 2024 is hereby disposed of.

Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all the necessary formalities.
