The petitioner is an Assistant Teacher in the subject Sanskrit at Ajodhya Belpukur High School (H.S.), Shyampur, District - Howrah, she applied for general transfer through the 'Utsashree Portal' on the grounds that she is suffering from gastroenterological disorder and that the distance between her residence and the school is more than 98 kilometres. The school authority has refused to issue 'No-Objection' to the said prayer of the petitioner on the ground that she is the single teacher of the subject in the school, consequently, the West Bengal Central School Service Commission has rejected the application of the petitioner.

Mr. Ray, learned advocate for the petitioner strenuously argues that the ground of rejection is not sustainable. Be that as it may, the 'Utsashree Portal' is now under suspension, as such the prayer of the petitioner for general transfer cannot be considered at this stage.

W.P.A. 17140 of 2022 is therefore dismissed without any order as to costs.
