After hearing the submissions made on behalf of all the parties, it appears that the petitioner has failed to substantiate her allegation that wrong ballot papers were distributed on the day of the poll.

It appears from the documents placed before this Court that a rectification was required to be done in the voter's list. The said rectification was effected long prior to the election being conducted. No objection was raised

either from any of the contesting parties or the electors alleging distribution of wrong ballot papers. In view of the above, the Court is not convinced with the allegation put forth by the petitioner. No relief can be granted to the petitioner in the instant writ petition.

The writ petition fails and is hereby dismissed. The connected application accordingly stands disposed of.

Report filed by the Block Development Officer, Arambagh, Hooghly dated 4th September, 2023 be retained with the records.

Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties expeditiously on compliance of usual legal formalities.
