Learned counsel appearing for the Calcutta Electric Supply Corporation (CESC) submits that a final order of assessment was passed on April 9, 2025, directing the petitioner to deposit a sum of ₹3,172/-, along with additional commercial dues amounting to ₹959/-.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is willing to deposit the aforesaid amount within seven days from the date of this order. In view of the above, there is no justification to keep this writ petition pending.

The petitioner shall deposit the said outstanding amount within a period of seven days from the date of this order. Upon such deposit, the electricity connection of the petitioner shall be restored forthwith.

Accordingly, WPA 16605 of 2025 is disposed of.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the learned advocates for the parties on usual undertakings.
