The petitioner says that he has no truck with the illegal transaction. He has been implicated on the basis of statement of co-accused persons. He seeks bail.

Learned Advocate for the State points out that the motorcycle, which was being ridden by a co-accused, Aniul Sk., when he was apprehended and seizure was made, is registered in the name of the present petitioner. Aniul Sk. has been granted bail by a Coordinate Bench solely on the ground of delay in trial.

482 grams of heroin was seized from the accused persons. In view of the facts narrated above, the complicity of the petitioner in the alleged offence cannot be ruled out, at this stage.

Hence, we are not inclined to allow the petitioner's prayer for bail for the present.

The prayer for bail is, accordingly, rejected. CRM (NDPS) 1107 of 2024 is dismissed.
