In view of the innocuous nature of the prayer, the writ petition itself is taken up for disposal. Upon hearing learned counsel for the parties, it transpires that it would suffice if the respondentauthorities are directed to decide on the application filed by the petitioner, as annexed at page-10 (Annexure-P1) of the present writ petition.

Accordingly, WPA No. 17240 of 2022 is disposed of by directing the respondent no.2 to take a decision on the application filed by the petitioner in accordance with the provisions of Sections 69, 73 and 80 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988, as annexed at page-10 (Annexure-P1) of the writ petition, upon giving

hearing, if necessary, to the petitioner and other necessary parties, if any, in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible, preferably within six weeks from date.

There will be no order as to costs.

Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be made available to the parties upon compliance with the requisite formalities.
