The petitioner is an under graduate student at Sanskrit College University (State University) the respondent No 2 herein. The petitioner is pursuing B.A. in subjects Ancient Indian and Worlds History.

The second semester examination of the first year of the said course has commenced on and from July 15, 2025 and would be ended on July 30, 2025.

The examination of one of the papers of the said course having paper code CVAC 206 UI was fixed on July 15, 2025, on the said date the petitioner was not allowed to take the said paper as the invigilator expressed doubt about the genuinity of the admit card of the petitioner as it is in Bengali vernacular. However, the controller of examination of the University on a scrutiny had found that the said admit card is genuine but then the time of the said examination was over. The petitioner is praying that the University may be directed to hold the examination of the said paper again enabling the petitioner to take it.

The Learned advocate for the University submits that she has received instructions from the Vice Chancellor of the University that in the second week of August 2025 the University shall hold the examination of the said paper again and the petitioner may sit for the said examination.

In view of such stand being taken, the University is directed to take all necessary steps to hold the examination of the said subject having paper code CVAC 206 UI again enabling the petitioner to take the said examination.

WPA 16611 of 2025 is disposed of with the above terms without any order as to costs.
