The writ petition is directed against an order dated May 4, 2011 passed by the West Bengal Administrative Tribunal in O.A.-554 of 2009.
By the impugned order, the Tribunal dismissed the claim of the original writ petitioner for pay parity. During the pendency of the present writ petition, we requested the Principal Secretary, Health & Family Welfare Department, Government of West Bengal, to consider the issue of the original writ petitioner by the order dated August 14, 2023.
Learned Senior Advocate appearing for the State submits that, the Principal Secretary, Health & Family Welfare Department, considered the claim of the original writ petitioner and found that, the original writ petitioner, that is, late Sankar Kumar Roy is entitled to pay parity. The reasoned order dated September 19, 2023 of the Principal Secretary, Health & Family Welfare Department, be kept with the record.
State authorities are requested to disburse the
entitlement of the original writ petitioner, that is, late Sankar Kumar Roy, as expeditiously as possible and preferably within six weeks from date.
WP.ST 223 of 2011 is disposed of without any order as to costs.
