Petitioner is having a family feud with the daughter and son-in-law. To that effect, informations were furnished to the police authorities and it is alleged by the petitioner that instead of police authorities helping, they have in fact allegedly tried to extort money from the petitioner on behalf of the sonin-law. Situation was such that, according to the petitioner, he was thrown out of the house and presently he is staying at a relative's house. Petitioner intends to enter the residence and stay with dignity. Accordingly, petitioner would apply before the Sub-Divisional Officer presiding under the provisions of the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizen Act, 2007. The SDO on receipt of

such application would pass necessary directions within a period of 45 days, if required, specific directions be passed upon the police authorities for residential accommodation of the petitioner. If such a direction is passed upon the police authorities, police authorities would implement such order in accordance with law.

With the aforesaid observations, WPA 16688 of 2025 is disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.

Report so submitted be kept with the record.

Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
