The petitioner is a primary school teacher. He made an application for transfer before the Chairman, South 24Parganas District Primary School Council on 4th August, 2021. The application of the petitioner was forwarded by the Sub-Inspector of School to the Chairman of South 24Parganas District Primary School Council by a Memo bearing No. PPN/45/21 dated 29th September, 2021. It is the submission of the petitioner that no steps have been taken by the District Primary School Council to dispose of his application for transfer.

As it appears that the application of the petitioner seeking transfer is pending disposal at the end of the South 24-Parganas District Primary School Council accordingly the instant writ petition is disposed of by directing the

Chairman of South 24 Parganas District Primary School Council, respondent No. 3 herein to take a decision with regard to the prayer made by the petitioner seeking transfer, strictly in accordance with law, at the earliest but positively within a period of four weeks from the date of communication of a copy of this order.

The aforesaid respondent, if required, shall afford an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner prior to take a decision in the matter.

The respondent authority shall pass a reasoned order and communicate the same to the petitioner immediately thereafter.

The writ petition stands disposed of.
