1. Affidavit of service filed on behalf of the petitioner is taken on record.

2. Petitioner on being selected in 1st State Level Selection Test, 2016 (Upper Primary) was recommended by the Chairman, West Bengal Central School Service Commission vide memo dated 18th December, 2024 for being appointed as Assistant Teacher in Haji Qadam Rasul High School, Paschim Bardhaman.

However, petitioner did not join the recommended post within 90 days from the date of issuance of recommendation on 18th December, 2024 but an application was made to the Chairman, West Bengal Central School Service Commission on 11th February, 2025 seeking extension of validity of recommendation.

3. Dr. Patra, learned advocate representing West Bengal Central School Service Commission on instruction submits that decision has already been taken on

application of the petitioner dated 11th February, 2025. It is also submitted that prayer of the petitioner for extension of validity of recommendation was rejected.

4. Since order of the concerned authority of West Bengal Central School Service Commission rejecting prayer for extension of validity of recommendation is not under challenge in this writ petition, validity and legality of said order cannot be decided.

5. Hence, writ petition is disposed of directing concerned authority of West Bengal Central School Service Commission to communicate decision taken on application dated 11th February, 2025 to the petitioner by 10 days from date. On receipt of decision of the concerned authority of West Bengal Central School Service Commission petitioner shall be at liberty to take steps in accordance with law.
