Supplementary affidavit filed on behalf of the petitioner is taken on record.

The petitioner is in custody for more than a year and renews his prayer for bail.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the injured eye witness as well as other witnesses have turned hostile and there is no material on record which implicates the petitioner in the alleged offence.

Learned counsel for the State opposes the prayer and submits that the eye witnesses to the incident are yet to be examined. Bail prayer of the petitioner was turned down by this Court on 14th February, 2025 considering the material on record. A lady was beaten to death. The injuries stated in the postmortem report corroborate the statement of the eye witness. Progress in trial is fairly satisfactory. The prosecution proposes to examine 10 more witnesses.

Considering the material on record and prima facie involvement of the petitioner in the alleged offence, prayer for bail is rejected at this stage.

The application for bail is disposed of.
