Despite service, none appears on behalf of the respondents. Affidavit-of-service is taken on record. The petitioners allege that although the petitioners were empanelled for the post of 'Pranibandhu' by the Block Livestock Development Officer, Mayureswar-I Mollarpur, Birbhum and such panel had been forwarded to the Sabhapati, Mayureswar No.1 Panchayat Samiti, no steps have yet been taken by the authority with regard to the engagement of the petitioners.
The writ petition is disposed of with a direction upon the Executive Officer, Mayureswar No.1 Panchayat Samiti, who is the Block Development Officer, Mayureswar-I Development Block, to treat the writ petition as the representation of the petitioners and dispose of the same in accordance with law.
reasoned order shall be passed and communicated. If the empanelment of the petitioners is found to be proper, steps shall be taken in accordance with law so that the petitioners can be engaged as 'Pranibandhu' and sent for training. If the engagements cannot be made, reasons shall be assigned.
This Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of allegation.
The entire exercise shall be completed by the authority, within a period of eight weeks from the date of communication of this order.
A copy of the writ petition along with a server copy of this order be served upon the Executive Officer, Mayureswar No.1 Panchayat Samiti.
The writ petition is, thus, disposed of.
There shall be no order as to costs.
Parties are to act on the basis of the server copy of this order.
