Affidavit of service filed by the petitioners is taken on record.

The petitioners are claiming themselves to be patent holders of a specified kind of e-rickshaw. They are aggrieved with the actions of the different State authorities allowing the e-rickshaws to ply around the city, allegedly without any permit.

Mr. Das, learned advocate for the petitioners has referred to various orders of this Court passed earlier, possibly in matters of public interest, regarding restrictions having been imposed with respect to plying of unregistered e-rickshaws.

Mr. Deb Roy, learned advocate appears for the State respondent through video conference.

The Court does not find any specific grievance of the writ petitioners regarding violation of any legal right of them. It is also incomprehensible, as regards infringement of any fundamental or legal right of the petitioners due to inaction or any illegal action, on the part of any State Authority or its instrumentality.

Rather, the Court is of the opinion that the grievance of the petitioners is at best in the nature of public interest and cannot be entertained by this Court, in the writ petition.

Hence, this writ petition is dismissed.
