Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody for 2 years 1 month and although charge has been framed and witness action commenced, but last of the witness was examined on April, 2025.

Learned advocate appearing for the State, on the other hand, opposes the prayer for bail and submits that commercial quantity of contraband being 505 grams of heroin was recovered and the prosecution is exerting efforts to conclude the trial.

In view of the nature of seizure, I am of the opinion that the petitioner has failed to overcome the rigors of

Section 37 of the NDPS Act. As such, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected.

Learned Trial Court is directed to take steps for conclusion of the trial at the earliest.

The application for bail, being CRM (NDPS) 932 of 2025, is, thus, disposed of.

All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
