1. Affidavits of service filed in Court today are taken on record.

2. Instruction forwarded by the Project Officer-cum-District Welfare Officer, BCW & TD, North 24 Parganas signed on 18th July, 2024 be retained with the records.

3. The petitioners pray for a direction upon the Project Officercum-District Welfare Officer, Backward Classes to act in terms of the direction passed by the learned Civil Judge, Junior Division, 1st Court, Barrackpore on 6th October, 2023 in Misc. Appeal No. 01 of 2011. The Officer was directed to adjudicate the dispute after giving opportunity of hearing to both the parties.

4. It has been submitted that though hearing has been conducted but final order is yet to be passed.

5. Learned advocate representing the State respondents admits that hearing was conducted and submits that final order has not been passed yet.

6. The instant writ petition is disposed of by directing the Project Officer-cum-District Welfare Officer, Backward Classes being the respondent no. 4 herein to act strictly in terms of the order passed by the learned Trial Court and pass a final order in the matter at the earliest but positively within a period of eight weeks from the date of communication of this order.

7. The writ petition along with the connected application stands disposed of.

8. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance of all the requisite formalities.
