Petitioners allege violation of the direction passed in the order dated 30th August, 2019.

By the said order the Chairman of Ghatal Municipality was directed to take steps for demolition of the unauthorised building within eight weeks from the date of communication of the order.

Petitioners submit that the same has not been complied till date.

Petitioners are directed to serve copy of the contempt application upon the contemnor respondent intimating that the matter will appear in the list on 19th May, 2021. Leave is granted to the learned advocate-on-record of the petitioners to incorporate the present incumbent as contemnor and serve a copy of the contempt application upon the added contemnor.

The application being CAN 1 of 2020 (Old No. CAN 4912 of 2020) has been filed for taking up the matter on urgent basis. As the contempt has already been taken by this Court, the aforesaid application stands disposed of. ( Amrita Sinha, J.)
