The petitioners are the contesting candidates of the Panchayat General Elections, 2023. They allege various irregularities on the date of the polls and at the time of counting. Series of complaint were filed by the petitioners before the authorities. None were considered. Without going into the merits of the allegations of the petitioners, the writ petition is disposed of by directing the District Panchayat Election Officer, Purba Medinipur to consider and dispose of the representations filed by the petitioners at the earliest but positively by August 2, 2023.

reasoned order shall be passed and communicated to the petitioners immediately thereafter.

Learned advocate for the petitioners is directed to forward a copy of the representations addressed to the District Panchayat Election Officer at the time of communicating the order of the Court.

The writ petition stands disposed of.
