The petitioner contested the Panchayat General Elections, 2023. He alleges serious illegalities at the time of counting. The petitioner prays for a direction for preservation of the CCTV/Video footages on the date of counting.

The petitioner also prays for a direction upon the respondents to produce the Form-18 and Form-22. It appears that the petitioner did not file any representation before the authority seeking the aforesaid Forms.

If application is made by the petitioner before the concerned officer seeking the aforesaid Forms, the same shall be supplied to the petitioner within a week thereof. The State Election Commission is directed to preserve the ballot papers and the CCTV/Video footages and the same be produced before the Court as and when directed.

The writ petitions stands disposed of.

Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties on compliance of usual legal formalities.
