The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that a maintenance case, Misc. Case No. 255 of 2021, has been pending before the Trial Court since 2021.

The petitioner's counsel is now requesting an expeditious hearing for the case, which is pending before the learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Kalyani, Nadia. This matter has been at the hearing stage since 2022. While the evidence from both the petitioner and opposite party no. 1 has already been completed, the evidence of P.W.2 is still pending.

Considering these facts and innocuous nature of the prayer, the learned Trial Judge is directed to make a concerted effort to conclude the trial swiftly and disposal of Misc. Case No. 255 of 2021 expeditiously, without granting any unnecessary adjournment. he is also directed to grant only short adjournments if absolutely necessary.

Accordingly, the separate petition, CRR 3227 of 2025, is hereby disposed of.

There is no order as to costs.

An urgent photostat certified copy of this order may be provided to the parties upon their compliance with all necessary formalities.
