The condition imposed on the petitioners to meet the Investigating Officer twice a week was modified on December 13, 2019 and they were directed to meet the Investigating Officer once in a month until further orders.

Petitioners seek relaxation of such condition due to the long pendency of the police complaint after its filing. The police are yet to submit a charge-sheet.

On the previous date i.e. July 18, 2022, it was submitted on behalf of the police that the charge-sheet would be submitted in course of the month.

There is a fresh report of the police claiming that they require further time. Such report be taken on record. In such circumstances, the condition imposed on the petitioners by the order dated August 30, 2019 as modified on December 13, 2019 is relaxed. The petitioners will meet the Investigating Officer as and when called for. Accordingly, IA No. CRAN 2 of 2021 is disposed of. (Debangsu Basak, J.) (Bibhas Ranjan De, J.)
