Report dated 08.10.2023 submitted by Mr. Ganguly, learned advocate appearing for the State be kept on record. The said report is enclosed with a statement and a declaration of one Punam Das at whose instance Liluah Police Station Case No. 476 of 2022 dated 15.09.2022 was registered for investigation. On conclusion of investigation, charge-sheet was submitted under Sections 498A/313/506/34 of the Indian Penal Code read with Sections 3/ 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act.

Having regard to the fact that the lady herself has given a statement that she is carrying on her conjugal life subsequently and is staying at her matrimonial home for the last three months and as such, she is not interested to pursue with the criminal case which has been registered as Liluah Police Station Case No. 476 of 2022 dated 15.09.2022, I direct that in the greater interest of the society, all further proceedings including the charge-sheet submitted in connection with Liluah Police Station Case No. 476 of 2022

dated 15.09.2022 pending before learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Howrah be quashed.

The revisional application being CRR 2624 of 2023 is allowed.

Pending connected application, if any, is consequently disposed of.

All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
