The petitioner will approach the Officer-inCharge, Dakshineswar Police Station on 20th November, 2024 who would depute a lady police personnel for accompanying the petitioner so that there is smooth entry at her own residence. The concerned lady police personnel would ensure that the petitioner is not harassed or humiliated at her residence. As such, the police personnel would visit in every alternate day. This arrangement would continue for a period of four weeks.
The petitioner in the meantime, would approach the appropriate authority under the relevant provisions of Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, for appropriate reliefs.
Learned advocate appearing for the respondent no.4 submits that the daughter-in-law
of the petitioner along with her child is staying at the same premises as her husband has abandoned her.
The police authorities will not interfere with her (respondent no.4) possession also, but ensure that both the parties do not harass or humiliate each other.
With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition being WPA 17761 of 2024 is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
