The West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited and others Ms. Pampa Dey (Dhabal), Mr. Animesh Paul .... for the petitioner Mr. Soumyajit Chakraborty .... for the WBSEDCL Learned counsel for the West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (WBSEDCL) files a report as per previous direction. In the said report, it is indicated that an alternative route was identified and agreed upon by both the petitioner and the private respondent, for giving electricity connection to the petitioner. A hand sketch map is also annexed to the report, identifying the said alternative route.

Since the parties do not have any objection to such alternative route, WPA No. 16872 of 2023 is disposed of by directing the WBSEDCL to give a new electricity connection to the petitioner over the alternative route as indicated in the report filed today in court and the map annexed thereto, which are kept

on record. Such connection shall be given as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a fortnight from date and/or from compliance of all formalities by the petitioner, whichever is later.

In the event any obstruction is raised against the WBSEDCL personnel in completion of such work, it will be open to the said personnel to approach the respondent no. 3, the Inspector-in-Charge, Liluah Police Station for adequate police assistance, which will be given at the cost of the petitioner.

The parties shall act on a server copy of this order, for the purpose of implementation of the same. There will be no order as to costs.

Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be made available to the parties upon compliance with the requisite formalities.
