Mr. Chatterjee, learned advocate appears on behalf of the petitioners. Though the writ petition has been filed, inter alia, praying for a declaration that the election schedule published on 30th June, 2025 be declared void, however, Mr. Chatterjee would candidly submit that pursuant to the dispute raised by the petitioners, the Secretary, Cooperative Election Commission, West Bengal, has issued a notice/summons on 26th June, 2025. According to him, although the hearing was fixed on 17th July, 2025, no hearing took place on the aforesaid date and the matter was adjourned. From the order dated 17th July, 2025 as placed before this Court and is taken on record, it

WPA 16790 of 2025 appears that the next date of hearing has been fixed on 7th August, 2025.

Having heard the learned advocates appearing for the respective parties and considering the fact that an election dispute is now pending before the Cooperative Election Commission, West Bengal, I am of the view that it would be prudent at this stage to direct the Cooperative Election Commission, West Bengal, to hear out the dispute and/or bring the same to a logical conclusion by passing a reasoned order upon giving an opportunity of hearing to all concerned.

The concerned respondent is directed to ensure that the matter is not unnecessarily delayed and no unnecessary adjournment shall be given to either of the parties.

With the above observations and direction the writ petition is disposed of.
