.... Petitioner.

Mr. Tapodip Gupta, ... For the Petitioner.

Ms. Subhasree Patel, Ms. Paulomi Bose, ... For the State.

The petitioner renews her prayer for bail which was rejected by a co-ordinate Bench on January 30, 2024. The Bench, while rejecting her prayer for bail had directed the learned Trial Court to take the proceeding to its logical conclusion without unnecessary delay. The petitioner says that out of 13 witnesses, not even a single witness has been examined. Charge-sheet was filed in August 20, 2022. Charge was framed after a long delay in March 2024.

Learned advocate for the State says that June 26, 2024 was fixed as the date for examination of witness. Because of cease work at the local bar, nothing happened on that date. The next schedule for examination has been fixed on August 21-23, 2024. On instruction, learned advocate for the State says that trial may be concluded within 4 months.
