Mr. Arindam Jana Ms. Jhuma Sen Mr. Sumanta Ganguly Ms. Swastika Chatterjee Mr. Saikat Pal ...for the Petitioner.

Mr. Lalit Mohan Mahata, AGP Mr. Ziaul Haque ...for the State.

Mr. Mani Shankar Chatterjee ...for respondent nos. 5 & 6.

Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner is 04.08.2025 Court No. 35 M/L. No.23 Rakib aggrieved by the fact that in spite of informing the Inspector-in-Charge of English Bazar Police Station in respect of cognizable offence which has been committed, no steps were taken by the concerned police station. On the other hand learned advocate appearing for the State submits a report. Report reflects that English Bazar Police Station case no. 1637/25 dated 31.07.2025 has already been registered for investigation. Learned advocate for the respondents denies and dispute the contentions and submits that they would take appropriate steps, so far as the case which has been registered.

Be that as it may, since a criminal case has been registered, further directions at this stage are unwarranted. Petitioner would be at liberty to take steps before the jurisdictional Court.
