Idrish ...for the respondent no.4 The Officer-in-Charge, New Township Police Station, Asansol-Durgapur Police, is personally present in Court today, though he as asked to be present virtually. The instructions of the Officer-inCharge, New Township Police Station, AsansolDurgapur Police dated 20.09.2022, addressed to the learned State Advocate, are taken on record. It appears from the instructions that the property in question stands in the name of the petitioner. She, out of fear, is residing now with her daughter. The fear has been as a result of threats by the private respondent.

Counsel for the private respondents submits that the property now is in the name of the

petitioner. They are occupying the same since 2006. They are the brother and family members of the late husband of the wife. They have submitted that the daughter of the private respondent is an undergraduate student and they have no other place to go to. They have undertaken before this Court not to disturb the petitioner if she returns to the said premises.

In view of the above, this Court directs the New Township Police Station, Asansol-Durgapur Police to escort the petitioner back to her residence. The petitioner shall occupy two rooms in the said premises. The private respondent shall restrict their occupation to one room.

Counsel for the private respondents submits that his client shall look for an alternative accommodation and need two years' time to vacate the premises for the purpose of education of his daughter.

With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition shall stand disposed of.

The Officer-in-Charge, New Township Police Station, Asansol-Durgapur Police shall ensure that the petitioner is not, in any way, disturbed by the private respondents and shall maintain a strict vigil on the premises. Any complaint from the

petitioner shall be forthwith attended to by the police.

The personal presence of the Officer-inCharge, New Township Police Station, AsansolDurgapur Police, is dispensed with. There shall be no order as to costs.
