An affidavit has been filed by the respondent nos. 5 to 7 mentioning that they agree to provide electricity to the room which the petitioner is occupying upon payment of charges which will be recorded in the sub-meter to be installed. The connection shall be provided to the petitioner after observing all the formalities and taking into consideration all the norms and rules of CESC Limited. 2.

As the private respondents have already submitted before this Court that they will provide electricity to the petitioner, accordingly, there is no requirement of passing any order directing CESC Limited for providing new electricity connection to the petitioner.

The electricity connection shall be provided to the petitioner by the private respondents positively

by 1st December, 2024. The petitioner shall be liable to bear the charges for installing the sub-meter and for drawing electric wire in his room from the existing meter room.

It is made clear that the electric connection will not create any equity or right in favour of the petitioner in respect of the room which he is occupying and the civil right of the parties shall abide by the result of the pending suit.

The writ petition stands disposed of.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
