1. By this public interest litigation it is alleged that the 8th and 9th respondents have illegally filled up the water body.

2. In this regard a complaint has been lodged before the Block Development Officer, Joynagar Block-I, Baharu, Police Station-Joynagar, District-24-Parganas (South), the 7th respondent.

3. The said representation was hand delivered in the office of the 7th respondent and there is a seal of the said office showing that the representation has been received on 18.05.2022.

4. Since the matter is pending before the 7th respondent, without going into the merits of the allegations made by the writ petitioners, we direct the 7th respondent to consider the representation submitted by the petitioners on 17.05.2022 after notice to the writ petitioners as well as the 8th and 9th respondents and proceed to take action in accordance with law.

5. The above direction be complied with within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of the server copy of this order.

6. With the above observations, the writ petition stands disposed of.
