Petitioner has preferred the present writ petition after being named in connection with Anandapur Police Station Case No.96 dated 22nd May, 2024 as is reflected from the report of the Officer-in-Charge, Anandapur Police Station.

The nature of contention advanced in the writ petition is plea of alibi. Investigation of the case is in progress. If there are materials in possession of the petitioner which would dilute the allegations made in the FIR, the petitioner would approach the Investigating Officer.

The Investigating Officer would take the same into account while progressing with the investigation of the case.

With the aforesaid observation, WPA 17856 of 2024 is disposed of.

All parties shall act on the basis of a server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties, upon compliance of necessary formalities.
