The petitioner is aggrieved by the fact that his complaint against the private respondent has not been attended to by the Uttarpara Police Station.

Learned counsel for the State has produced a report in the form of instructions dated 12th August 2022 issued by the Officer-in-Charge, Uttarpara Police Station addressed to the learned Government Pleader and the same is taken on record.

Counsel for the State submits that Uttarpara Police Station Case No.297 of 2022 dated 9th August 2022 under Sections 341/323/325/506 of the IPC has been registered against the respondent No.4 by the Uttarpara Police. Likewise on the complaint of the private respondent Uttarpara Police Station Case No.90 of 2022 dated 25th March 2022 under Sections 406/420/500 of the IPC has been registered.

Let the investigation of the aforesaid cases be completed by the Uttarpara Police mandatorily and positively within a period of two months from date. With the aforesaid directions, the writ petition shall stand disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.

Since the respondents have not used any affidavits, the allegations made in the writ petition shall not be deemed to have been admitted by them.
