The petitioner, State and the respondent no.6 are represented through respective learned Counsel.

Learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that after filing this petition in the nature of Public Interest Litigation (PIL), the Forest Range Officer, Namkhana Range, District-South 24-Parganas, has taken cognizance of the petitioner's complaint and fixed a meeting on September 12, 2025 at 12:00 noon.

The copy of notice is provided to the other side. It is jointly agreed that this PIL may be disposed of by directing the said Forest Range Officer to take his notice to a logical conclusion in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible.

In view of consensus arrived at between the parties, the PIL is disposed of by directing the Forest Range Officer, Namkhana Range, South 24Parganas, to proceed and conclude the proceedings pursuant to his Memo No. 233/NM15, dated August 30, 2025. It is expected that the said Authority shall proceed in accordance with law and if necessary, hear the necessary parties. If the said Authority comes to the conclusion that there is any breach of any law, he shall take action against the erring persons in accordance with law. 5.
