Ms. Sudipa Biswas ... for the petitioners Mr. Nilotpal Chatterjee, ... for the respondent nos. 2 & 3 The petitioners are lower division clerks engaged under the district judiciary of Bankura and are posted in the Bishnupur Sub-Division. The petitioners say that they are deprived of being considered for promotion by following Shetty Commission's recommendations. The petitioners have made several representations to the learned District Judge, Bankura for ventilating their grievances.

In the aforesaid facts and circumstances, I find that justice will be sub-served if I direct the District Judge, Bankura to consider and dispose of the representations made by the petitioners, the last of which is dated 24th January, 2024, by passing a reasoned order in the administrative side within a period of four months from the date of communication of this order. The learned District Judge, Bankura shall

be free to give the petitioners a personal hearing, if found necessary.

The reasoned order shall be communicated to the petitioners immediately upon being passed.

It is made clear that this Court has not gone into the merits of the case. The learned District Judge, Bankura shall be free to decide the issues independently and without being influenced by any observations made in this order.

Nothing further remains to be adjudicated in this writ petition. The same is accordingly disposed of. Since I have not called for any affidavits, the allegations contained in the writ petition are deemed to have not been admitted by the respondents.
