The petitioner contested the Panchayat General Elections, 2023. She seeks recounting of the ballot papers as she alleges that the ballot boxes were opened prior to the stipulated time schedule.

Further allegation is that there are several ballot papers with multiple stamps which ought to have been cancelled.

A complaint was lodged before the respondent authorities on July 12, 2023.

On perusal of the said complaint it appears that the allegations are very vague relying upon which no decision can be arrived at.

In view of the above, the prayer of the petitioner for consideration of the representation cannot be allowed.

The writ petition fails and is hereby dismissed. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties on usual undertaking. Sh. (Amrita Sinha, J.)
